Blaster Jetting With Mods
#1
My buddy's son has a blaster with a Pro-Circuit pipe and silencer also a K&N filter with a Boyesen Rad Valve. He was wanting to remove the airbox and was wondering what he would need to rejet to. Pro Circuit told him that the stock jets would work fine but that sounded wrong to me but I don't know all that much about blasters. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Duneaholic, I just finished building a blaster for my son. Pro-Circuit pipe, 28mm Mikuni, Trenga reed spacer, Boyesen carbon fiber reeds, clamp on K&N air filter, oil pump block off plate. I'm still trying to get it jetted, and am getting in the ballpark....240 main, 50 pilot, needle in the 2nd groove from bottom. It is still a little on the fat side, but runs really well...kid really likes it. It's really sharp..Powder coated frame, new plastic, Holeshots on Douglas wheels. One thing thats really bugging me is the pipe is starting to "blue". This is the first blaster I've messed with, so I don't know if it's inherent to these, or not. Kinda sucks though, with the price of these pipes($300).

Duneaholic, I just noticed that too, Yes we ride at Kermit some, and Imperial some too. Drop me an E mail, maybe we can go ride sometime. I think we are going to try and go to Imperial for a quick trip on Monday (4-1). I'm setting one of my Lt500's up on Alky soon, and want to ride it one more time on racing fuel before I do the conversion. Did you get your blaster problem solved? If not, let me know if I can help.
