After trying to make a decision on all of the high-end utility atv's for a while now, my money went on the Grizz 660 this afternoon. It has what I'm looking for in a utility atv and certainly has all the performance I'll need. The deal was pretty good too. Purchased at Yamaha Off-Road Express in Erie, Pa. The bike was $6500 + tax (no freight or setup).

I also purchased a bunch of Yamaha accessories -- The Aluminum Front Grab Bar Shield, The Front Aluminum Bash Plate, and Both Front and Rear Aluminum A-Arm Guards. Also included were the ITP C-Series aluminum rims and the 27" ITP 589 M/S tires for front and rear. This whole bunch of stuff cost $1002.29 + tax. They are going to put all the accessories on for me when they assemble the Grizz (it's still in the crate) for $75 which I thought was very fair. They are hoping to have everything ready so they can deliver it to my door by the end of next week. I wasn't counting on free delivery too. Is this a great country or what . . .

The markup on these atv's is 17% from msrp + 3% dealer holdback. These guys have to make a decent buck to stay in business. I figure the $690 profit + 3% is about the best I could do for a top end bike like this. They are usually selling for msrp or real close.

Now you Yamaha atv guys have to put up with me. The Polaris guys are probably real glad to get rid of me. Oh well, we'll get the clutching straightened out on these beasts so we can realize the true potential of a really good clutching setup. I'm willing to experiment much like we did with the Polaris stuff.

Jack,

Welcome to the family..... hehe

Looks like i will be able to pick mine up before you!!!

Been talking to others about the guards on the bikes and not sure if i want to go that route... Seems that the poly skids are better at sliding across stuff, but doesnt mean that i wouldnt add the bash plates.. I expect a full review of your BIKE!!! As i will inturn post as much as possible on what i find about the griz that i am getting (good, and hopefully nothing bad..)

Good luck and have fun riding!
Jonathan
