If u want to moto cross get a cannondale or a trx250r.
If u want to drag race get a banshee.

I agree with runforestjump, its not that the Raptor sucks.....its the owners, same thing with the Honda people to, at least around here, all a bunch of whinning little cry babies. Beat them in a drag or in a race through the woods, and they all go home complaining that I got lucky or they got a bad start or sumthin' stupid. I had the DS out yesterday and I was climbin' an Ash Hill, it was hardpacked, about 80-90ft tall, nearly straight up and down. Some Raptor guy came over saying how he could climb bigger hill's than me because his was 660cc & mine was only 650cc, then when he was climbin' the hill he flipped at the very top. He said he spun the whole way up and caught traction at the very top, I watched the whole thing he did'nt spin at all, he just needed an excuse for not knowing how to ride. I have never seen a Raptor climb anything bigger than say 50-60ft without an extended swing-arm.

<< i agree w/ kingraptor i have yet to see any cdale even get close to a raptor. i have raced a few at my local dunes and all have come up too me all high and mighty and all have lefted all pissed off and never to race me or a another raptor again! must suck to spend all that money and then get smoked by some dumb slow ***, carb blowin, axle bendin, raptor!!!

I think that 14mins rides the short bus, Raptor come stock with less hp than a cannondale, So they need to buy 50hp kits just to keep up with the dale, its understandable

 

First he says that a piped Raptor loses to a stock cannon, now he is saying a Piped cannon. And if the Piped Raptor lost it b/ the jetting is wrong. Everyone knows how much of a pain it is to jet a SET of carbs on a Raptor!! Im goin through it AGAIN!!

Horsepower gets you down the drag stip. 100 percent stock the cannon has a 4 hp and 30 pound advantage. But most mags still say the raptor is faster. First hand i have not seen 2 stock machines race.

Piped raptor can easily top 46 hp. The raptor has a 30 pound disadvantage but 8 more hp. You are not going to out run that. There are dyno graphs all over the place for the raptor. Show some to me for a cannon. Not my 3 rd cousin said earl at the shop has a 50 hp cannon. If cannons were so fast and had the potential for more hp i would get one in a minute. I like cannon fine, just not buildable for me at this time. That could well change but i doubt it.
