My Grandfather wants to get me a quad but it has to be a utility. So what would you choose? I'm worried about the quad lasting and have you heard any bad things about these quads?

Thanks!

Wolverine, no question about it.
The Wolverine is the perfect quad for someone who has to have a utility quad, but would like to have a quad for trail riding and having fun.
The Big Bear's cam, compression, gearing and weight keep it from being as much fun as a Wolverine.

He says it has to be a utility machine.....therefore big bear...wouldn't you think it's a better utility machine?

He says utility but I'm more of a sport type of guy. That's why I thought the Wolverine would be more for me but I'm not sure how well it will hold up. Also if I get the big bear I don't want to be dissapointed with the performance. I like to ride trails fast so I'm sure the wolverine is the better choice. Has anyone heard bad things about the wolverine? Big bear?

Thanks again!

Please, listen to me. The bigbear is for full utility, the wolverine is for utility, only it goes faster/more suspention/high gearing. If your not pulling 2000lbs around, or even 1000lbs, get the wolverine. its got 7inch travel like the warrior, and weighs less than 500lbs, and its 4x4!

with the on command 4wd, the big bear can be sporty! i slide it jump it...not huge jumps. get the big bear, you wont regret it and dont forget to tell gramps a HUGE thankyou!!

The Wolverine is definatly a utility bike, it's just not as utility as a Big Bear, which is why he should get the Wolverine. That way he'll be happy with it and his Granddad will be too.
Never mind about the full-time 4wd. Some people think that if you can't put it in 2wd you can't drive fast or something. There's NO WAY a Big Bear will keep up with me in the trails, I don't care who's driving it.

Looks like noone can agree on which is the best choice.....when that happens you probably won't go wrong with either one...no doubt the wolverine is sportier, and yet probably utility enough for grampa...if so, go with the wolverine....if it has to be strictly utility, big bear...
