Polaris Owner Considering Yamaha

Learn how to ride? How the heck can you tell me to learn to ride when I you haven't even seen me ride. I have several years of experience riding, and until you see where I ride, which you have to run over trees to get around, you can't make any judgements. I don't bash, I tell it how it is, the ex was very weak, and now he has a trailblazer, which he had before the ex. The way I see it, if you don't make a quad that can take the abuse of my riding, you might as well not even produce it, cause I won't buy it, or I will bring it back to you trashed. I have 2 and 1/2 years on the Polaris, not one problem, nor with the past ones, and I will buy Polaris again.

You're absolutely right. I have no idea of how great of an ATV rider you are. I'm sure during the manufacturers field tests they spend many hours crashing ATV's into trees. If not, they really should, right? Maybe the EX was just such a poor handler it darted into the tree. Me- I tend to go around trees rather than running over them on purpose.
Have fun.

Yeah, you could go around them, if your quad is about 2 feet wide. I will see If I can't get some pictures up, you can't go around the trees in some parts, in others you can, but he was on the 500 sportsman cruisin over the trees, I hit a somewhat big one and it was gone.

Very soon Honda will have their new 650 Rincon on the floor. Their claim is this we be "THE" ATV.
It might be worth the wait.

Well, my own experience with the Grizzly660 has been nothing short of incredible. There isn't a quad that compares other then the SP700. I don't consider the Kawi simply because it's a different machine. If a swingarm suspension is something that interest you, certainly go take a look at it. But, if IRS is important, there's really only the 660 & SP700 right now.
My brother in law has the SP700, which I've rode quite a bit, and ride with even more, so I am fortunate to be able to compare them on the same trails basically at the same time. After reading the other posts here, I don't think I can add much to what Trader Jack has said. He's right on the money. I do like the EBS better on the Grizzly, I also like the on command 2X4, 3X4 & 4X4 better then the on demand 4X4 of the polaris. The two quads are pretty close on speed, although the Grizz will take it. The Grizzly 660 does not "3 wheel" unless you have it in 3X4 drive, and it's nice to be able to keep it locked in 4X4 even if the rear tires aren't slipping more then the front. I feel the 660 is more nimble in trail riding, and it's easier for me to throw around in mud & deep snow then the 700 is, again, that's due to the weight difference, and the fact I'm not an exception big guy (190 pounds).
Both good quads, I would suggest you ride each of them if you can. I can tell you that if I couldn't have the 660, I would definately get the SP700.
Good luck with your decision.
