I haven't had my banshee long so I am still learning but I have another question. What color should the tip of the sparkplugs be. Mine are kind of a light brown color and I was wondering if it should be darker or lighter or what. I don't feel like burning a hole in any of my pistons so I just want to make sure this thing is jetted right.

Also, what is the best way to find out if you quad is jetted properly?
Thanks

Sounds like you got it right.
I've melted pistons before, you will see the melted alumnium on the sparkplug.(from NOS one time, to much timing another)

It's almost impossible to read plugs if your running pump gas. At least on 4 strokes I'm not sure about 2 strokes. The correct way to do a plug check is to run at WOT for at least 20 to 30 seconds Hit the kill switch & cut the throttle at the same time & pull in the clutch. coast to a stop & pull the plug. When I checked my 02 Raptor this way the additives in the pump gas washed the plug clean. The only way to know 100% for sure us to use an 02 sensor. I used one when I dynoed my Raptor.

What kind of 2 stroke oil are you using, what ratio are you using? What jet is in it? If your plug is a nice golden brown it usually means it is a complete burn which is good. If it is rich it would have oil on it and be black. If it is lean it is posible for the ground to melt off the plug. You are from alberta so if it is stock you could probably run a 180 jet and be ok depending on what oil you are mixing and what octane gas you run..

My banshee has pro circuit pipes so it isn't stock. I run castrol oil with regular pump gas. I'm not sure what the jetting is.

Well buy the description of the plug sounds like the jetting is good probably has a 200 or 210. I think you will be ok just keep an eye on your plugs. And if the shee starts working really good it is probably leaning out.
