Hi Everybody,

I am sure this has been asked a million times, so I tried to do a search on it, but there must be something messed up in the search engine because no matter what I type when I hit search it just brings me back to the main search page. No messages or anything.

Anyway, I was just wondering if somebody could list off how much new plastic for a Banshee would cost from any companies that make it (Maier, Fullbore, OEM).

I am going to need a full set (front, rear, and tank).

Thank you for any info that you can give.

-Josh

I bought my front and rear from North County Yamaha. They seemes to have the best prices on the OEM stuff. They are in cali so if you are from there I would look for a dealer in az. I got front and rear for delivered for 277. Their number is 800-225-1629. I would not get the maier or the UFO plastic if I were U. It has a dull appearance compared to the OEM stuff and Full Bore.

you can get some nice aftermarket banshee plastics from alba at albaaction.com, but their precut which is really annoying, but i know some people like to ruin nice bikes with ugly plastics

Thanks for all of the info guys.

The prices you have given me are all much better than I was able to find on my own.

I still am trying to decide what I want to do. I would buy plastic in a heartbeat, but I ride in the woods so it would get scratched up right away (not to mention when I'm goofing off and dump it again too).

It's hard to take the $500 and put it into something that there is a good chance of breaking again. You know what I mean? Now if I rode in the dunes or somewhere without thick brush it would be different, but within a summer of riding it's going to be all scratched up where I ride now.

That's why I was asking about the Maier or UFO plastic. Do you guys have any idea how much a full set of that costs? Also, I have found Maier a few places, but I have only been able to find it with the front fenders already cut...do they make it with the full front fenders? I haven't been able to find much on the UFO....do they make it in black?

I hear that Fullbore is the best when it comes to shine/quality, but the prices I have seen on that have been comparible to OEM.

Man, I don't know what to do. Maybe I should just keep checking to see if I can get a full set of used plastic for a decent price. That way I won't feel so bad if I do something to it.

Again, thanks to all of you for your help.

There is no way that the Full Bore is comparible in price to the OEM. The cheapest I have found for full bore is like 450 for the set. Maeir and UFO is dull compared to the OEM. If you are looking for black do not get the two I just mentioned. You can get fender extensions for the front on the Maeir plastic.

What a lot of people do around here is paint their plastic. I have seen wonderful results...it might be a better alternative.

Another thing that surprises the heck out of me is that people are selling plastic on ebay for almost the same price for new stuff!!! As long as it looks good in the photos people are bidding...only if they knew they could get brand new plastic overnight for the same price! So sell your plastic for 100 - 150 bucks and shell out the rest for some brand new plastic!

I just look at it as a small price to pay to make my banshee look good. Yeah....it will get scratched , but so does the frame, side covers, and everything else!

You've got great points Man. I never thought of selling my old stuff...duh. That would make a decent dent in the price of new because my old stuff isn't all that bad, I just don't like the colors.

You are right about the fullbore and the price you paid for the OEM. I forgot how much you said you paid for your plastic. Does the company you bought yours from have a website? I checked out the one that fastn2002 mentioned and I could get the whole thing including the tank/radiator cover for about $500 shipped (that is what I meant by comparable to fullbore), but then when I see your price that looks even better.

The "woman" probably won't let me get the plastic unless I sell something else....don't you love that? Hmmmm.....what don't I need. That's another thing to think about.

Thanks again.

Just call the number....I am not sure if they have a website....but they are wonderful to deal with! I was working with Kendal, the parts manager. Very nice folks, not like most dealerships you call locally!

IMO...I rather talk to someone on the phone than look at some cheesy pictures on a website! Anyone can look good on the computer....only a few can sound professional over the phone!

I hear you there....I am a tech support rep. for the company I work for and we don't even have web/email support because the big boss likes to keep it personal.

I was just wondering if they had a webpage so I could ponder over the stuff while I beg my "other boss" for money.

Thanks again.
