will after market parts void my warranty ?

 

It depends on what aftermarket parts they are.

Any performance mods. including exhausts and air filters will void the warranty on engine related problems.

Any chassis modification will void the warranty on any possible future chassis related problem.

However, unless you have got a stuck up dealer or you act stuck up to him, it shouldn't be a problem unless the aftermarket product OBVIOUSLY caused the failure.

Most dealers, including myself use common sense when it comes to warranty claim decisions. We don't go crying to the OEMs to not pay for something just because the customer has added modifications. The OEM doesn't know unless the dealer makes a note of it. And we don't make notes.

About the only thing that does conflict with this usually is when a customer who owns a two stroke adds a pipe or other modifications and doesn't rejet causing a melt down. This, unless installed by the dealer, is about the only case where one should be worried about warranty issues.......unless ofcourse, you ended up with one of those stuck up dealers.
