brake pads on kodiak???
#1
My brake pads on the rear brake are shot already on my 01 kodiak, with only 1700km (everything is in km here in canada) and the dealer said they normally go after only 800 km. I think that is pretty pathetic considering most brake pads on everything else last much much longer. Is it the quality of the stock pads that makes them wear so quickly? And would ebc severe duty pads last alot longer? and all through this the front ones work perfectly. thanks for any help

1700km on a set of pads is VERY good for any ATV....on a kodiak...UNHEARD OF!!!! I've only gotten about 500km out of mine. I put on a set of EBC pads and will see how well they hold up.
Go with ECB...they're cheaper and better than the stock pads.

You can also get solid brass brakes for the ultimate in severe duty. You can reach him via e-mail at bethandgary@telepak.net.
