need help with winch istallation....please someone help me

I got the Warn winch kit from YAMAHA and installed myself last night. Last night I tested the winch to be sure it worked and all was fine, but I didn't try to start last night. Today I tried to start up the Grizzly and when I pushed the start button the wheeler just kept turning over like the start button was stuck in but it wasn't.
When installing I did hear the audible click in the selenoid. I disconnected the small red wire and it starts normal.
So my question is what did I do wrong?.... and how do I fix the problem. It must be the way I hooked up the selenoid.
Amy ideas please let me know suposed to go riding tomorrow and don't want to have a winch the dosen't work.

OK here was the problem:
In the installation instructions it says to splice the 20 gauge red wire into a wire that has juice when the key is on. I found a wire under the seat to splice to coming out of a plug that the red wire from the battery was going to. From the plug there were two bue wires and one red one. The red wire was hot no matter if the key was on or off so I knew I didn't want to use that one. The blue ones were made hot by turning the key on so I had two right there to chose from but the one I chose was coming or going to the kill switch, the red one above the start button,( I tested the two blue wires with the volt meter and one hot with just the key on off and one was hot with the key and the red swith on off) well it must have made the start switch stay open because I switched to the other blue wire that was just made hot by the key switch and it fixed the problem.
......it does matter witch wire you splice to..... don't pick the blue wire I chose.
