I recently was out riding and had a needle pop out of the slide. Needless to say i fixed the problem on the trail. I did end up losing one of the washers in the process but no big deal. When i went to buy a new washer i noticed on the Yamaha microfiche the order of the washers and spacers on the needle were slightly different than what Dynojet says. If you compare the RivaRacing microfiche to the Dynojet Fig A(Dynojet instructions) you can see the difference. Yamaha says (from the bottom of the needle), washer, spacer, washer, c-clip, oring, spring, cap. Dynojet says washer, spacer, c-clip, washer(possibly oring), spring, cap. So which is the correct order ? Is the Dynojet diagram showing an oring or a washer ? Either way it seems to be missing a part. Anyone ? How has everyone else put it back together ?

If i remember the dynojet kit comes with an extra washer, I went with washer, spacer, c-clip, washer (the thicker brass colored one), spring and cap. my service manual isnt very clear on it either, dynojet makes a good product, but calling them for advice---> you do better to figure it out for yourself

The Yamaha service manual shows from top to bottom.
jet needle holder
spring (little)
washer
clip
thick washer (plastic)
washer

Dyno jet specs show the same.

If you look on RivaRacing or Yamaha microfiche it shows:

cap
oring
spring
c-clip
washer
white spacer
washer

So does anyone know if Dynojet is recommending a washer above the c-clip or is it a printing error on their part ?

Put a washer above the c clip and you've got it right. Thats the way it was when I took mine apart, thats the way it was when you took yours apart. Thats the way Dyno jet specs show it as well.
