Just thinking of switching sprockets but was wondering the benifits of it, if I go with a 12 on front how much top speed is lost and how much bottem is gained, and if I just go to a 41 or 42 in back is that any better or basiclly doing the same as switching the front?thanks

swapping the front sprocket will get you better bottom end and will clip your top end also, it was one of the first mods i tried, I eventually changed to a 13/42 combo which i liked much better, having a 12 13 and 14 front and 40 41 and 42 rear sprockets give plenty on different combinations to play with, without spending too much cash (you can get countershaft sprockets for around $7 from rockymountain atv)
