I havn't had the opportunity to see a silver Griz but I am told it is PAINTED silver. My local dealer says he can't get anymore silver Grizzlies from Yamaha due to warranty problems with paint flaking and chipping. Apparrently the colour is discontinued. Any truth behind this.

As for paint flaking & chipping problems on the silver...no. Does paint scratch when you thrash it in the bush? Yes. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I've got some scratches on my grizzly, but they were put there by me, albeit unintentionally. Today, via color-rite, my touch up paint just showed up and a bottle of clear coat...so the lil scratches will be gone this weekend. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
