I was wondering if anyone could help out. I know there is the adjustment screw on a 2001 warrior carb that controls the idle speed, but there is another screw on the left hand side of the carburetor (towards the front of the quad). Is this the pilot screw? What does is adjust? Where should it be set?

The screw facing down on the front of the carb is the low speed fuel screw,in is leaner, out is richer. On a stock Warrior, anywhere from 1.5 to 2 turns is a good starting point, depending on your elevation. The best way to find your setting is to warm it up,run in 3rd gear at a good clip, then let off the throttle. If it pops while coasting, try opening up the screw a 1/4 turn at a time until it coasts without popping through the exhaust. That should be real close to optimum setting for your quad and elevation.

Great! I'll give her a try this weekend after I get the K&N and jet kit installed.
