Yeah, it runs better with the lid off, so I figured he was full of it. I just changed the plug, and it's very dark and carboned up after only 2 hours of riding.

Stop screwing around with your damn computer and get out there and crank those pilots in

seems like you can always count on confusing info from dynojet, lower needle (by raising clip to higher lever) leans it out, raise the needle (by lowering the clip) makes it richer, the needle sits inside the jet and the farther down you lower it the more it blocks the jet-->leaner, and the air/fuel does only control idle and a bit more, inceasing pilot jet size does not give more hp, but it seems to clear up a low end stumble on some raptors (many posts here), my personal theory is it is related to the floats (often not adjusted correctly)which is why it is not a solution for everybody

They told me to go to one position notch lower on the needle, which would richen it up (correct, right?) My concern was that I didn't think it was running lean, I thought it was rich... When I was moving at 1/8 throttle, then went to give it more gas, it would stumble, then clear up and pull.

Mine did have high float levels (about 1/2-3/4" over the bowl top) but it didn't fully cure the stumble. Yes it did help but the pilots really finished the job

Try using a vaccum gauge for tunning your screws. That is if you get a tool to turnthem while its running.

LMAO! I just called them again, and I was told to lean out the needle 1 notch. Again they claimed that the mixture screw wouldn't have any effect on this problem.

I haven't checked the floats yet, but I didn't have any problems before I put the K&N power kit on, and the 3 things that I changed were the main jets, needles, and mixture screw, so while I haven't ruled out the floats, I'm looking at the things I changed as the source of my problems first.

What should the float level be? I think I'm going to check that now.

This is from the factory service manual.

Hold the carbs in an upside down position.
Measure the distance from the front mating service of the float chamber (gasket removed) to the top of the float.
Note: the float arm should be resting on the needle valve, but not compressing it.

The float hight is 13mm (0.51in)

A good rule of thumb is if you are trying too give the engine more fuel and it hesitates....then that circuit is lean. If you are letting off and get a hesitation, then that circuit is rich.
