For a great in-depth review, check out http://www.off-road.com/atv/reviews/...400/index.html.

As for Knutz's comments, everyone has different perceptions of how fast a quad is, how good it handles, etc. So, maybe it just wasn't his partners cup of tea. Pretty soon when the Z400's hit the street I think we'll have a good overall picture of the quad. Till then, we pretty much have to read what magazines and ATV websites are saying and believe what we want to believe. So far, they are giving much better reviews than Knutz's partner.

i am shure that all of u have started on small machines at one time and in my openion the mojave is the best under 400cc you can buy

and there is no way the zuki could feel like a blaster look at the demensions of it it is on par with the raptor and ex and they are huge compared to a blaster
yes the drz was detuned to an extent
there are two drz's the drz400 and the drz400s the drz400 which is a trail bike puts out 41 horsepower and the drz400s which is street and trail is slightly detuned only 39 horse this is mostly from different cams and heads
the z400 has the engine out of the drz400s which is like i said slightly detuned but the drz400 heads and cams will drop right into the z400 motor which is the drz400s's and pump it up to 41 rear wheel horse power

You humble me with your prestigious offer!

Speaking of the fair lady, where is RQ hiding out anyway.... I know his hours got changed at work but I haven't heard from him all week...

Actually, after hearing about the Cinders I would like to check that out sometime; sounds fun.

For some reason people either love the Cinders or hate them. I personally think they are awesome. Sure the dust sucks sometimes and if you get on the race track it's 30+ miles of whoops but they make you better rider. You can get on some of the flat trails in the forest and they are a blast.

I have some pics from trips at http://www.quadracer.com/photos/

I'm hoping to have my Z400 in time for a Memorial Day weekend trip to the Cinders. We'll see about them being slower than 400ex's.

I have a friend of a friend whos related to a guy who knows this dude who was at a test ride of the Z400, he said it was slower then a 250ex, but handled decent, on par with a 220 Bayou.. I WAS gonna get one, but I might change my mind now and go out and buy a BLASTER.. I need MORE room for my 6'3" azz.. (ahem), WHATEVER...

You can never have to many DS parts! Maybe with 760 kit from Knutz, I could keep up with that Banshee of yours.

Not trying to fight, but I owned a DRZ and looked heavily into it, the DRZ400 is only 39 hp stock and the DRZ400s is only 31 or 32 max.......meaning that quad will be about 31, if you don't believe me, go to thumpertalk.com, there you will find all of the very smart DRZ owners who will tell you the HP #'s of the 400 and the 400S........ Also a good site if you are buying one, those guys can tell you how to get HP out of that motor easy, as I can to a point, to get near that 40hp mark you would need cams, carb and gaskets from the DRZ400 or 400E, then 39 or 40 is possible, oh and the CDI box as well......

Don't take that post as a diss on the zuk, I loved my DRZ more then anything, that is one sweet engine, only a little off par with the WR426 or 400..... It has tons of potential
