I did not buy mine hydraulic clutch from Magura….i got mine from Billetanium….Billetanium purchases the Magura perch and manufacturer their own slave cylinder…and they use a Galfer brake line. This cylinder is mounted at the motor…the Magura slave cylinder is junk…..however the Billetanium is $400…not cheap but much better than the complete Magura setup….

Yeah, I put one on mine. It went on simple enough, the only thing you have to do is remove the spring on the cluth arm. It leaked a little fluid the first ride nothing major, magura sent me a new slave cylinder but I haven't put it on yet. Check out this link, its got a picture of the setup.

I noticed Magura sent you a new slave clylinder - did it fix the problem? Is the Magura still working for you? I purchased one - haven't been able to get it working right. I've tried moving the clutch lever arm - with & without the spring - it will not disengage when in gear. I'm trying to contact Magura now myself.

I never put the new slave cylinder on. The rod in the slave cylinder bent, so I decided to put the clutch cable back on. Hydrulic clutches kick *** but the magura setup was a waste, I have less trouble with the stock cable. Maybe when I get some time I'll *** around with the magura and get it working right.

I can understand your sentiments ... after just spending two hundred bones ... I'm not quite ready to give up. I snapped my stock clutch lever (flipped it on a steep hill) so I figured it was a good time to try - I should have checked with this forum prior to purchasing it. I don't want to put the huge stock clutch perch back on - I may buy a different manual setup - just as a backup. I sent an email to Magura - and they responded almost immediately (which gives me hope). For me - I think the problem is free play at the slave cylinder - unfortunately when I re-position the clutch lever arm its either - I can't get the slave cylinder back into the cable end bracket after connecting it to the clutch lever arm or after getting it back into the bracket it has too mcch slack. I'm afraid I'm going to end up bending the rod as you did.

I put an aftermarket perch and lever on too. One more thing about the magura clutch, the adjuster sleeve and nut that goes after the slave cylinder, that broke. I'm not sure how but the end snapped off. If you find a way to mount it so it has the correct freeplay let me know.

I gave it another shot last night ... I give up. I finally got it installed with the right amount of free play, however, after pulling the clutch lever in once to test - the free play increases (probably air in the line). The whole thing - slave cylinder, plastic cable - just seems to delicate for the type of riding I do (desert & Glamis). I going to see about returning it today - and go with an after-market manual clutch. I went to a Yamaha shop yesterday which also has KTM's and was checking out the Magura setup on them - completely different cable (much beefier) and the connection at the tranny was different as well. Any recommendations on after-market manual clutch setups for the Raptor?
