I am supposed to be taking my 02 raptor in for my first service, and i was wandering what ur guys feelings were on doing that some people say they would some say thy dont i have changed my oil already but still was gonna take it for whatever else they do i guess tighten chain, adjust valves, and grease it. Any thoughts?

If they do anything to it beside checking the fluids i'd be surprised. JMO.

If you have the extended warrenty, it might be worth the $100.00 +- you'll spend, so its on record that you had the 10 hour maintanance done. After that, i'd do everything myself. Oil, valves, etc.

My service man checked every last bolt. I did it for the piece of mind. The simple reason is, they might see something that you don't. After all, they are the professionals. Get it done. Air filter, antifreeze, bearing and everything else. They actually have a check list that they go by as a guide. Have it done. Atleast for the initial inspection...
