Radman, I ran with the 12 discs for over a year. I have only been with the 18 discs for about 3 months now. I have better top end with the 18 discs - the '01 Raptor has enuff bottom end anyway. Just have been trying something different is all. That's why now I am going with the E-series headpipe. Just ordered it! I will go back to the 12 discs when I install the header/rejet and see what happens?!

If you are running 18 disks and have enough intake airflow (no lid and a good filter), and your plug looks good......then you have too be making more peak power than a 12 disk set-up with comparable plug color. More air is going through the engine with proper plug color......but is this at the expense of low end power.....eraptoid, did low end power drop when you went too 18 disks?

Gary, I did not "NOTICE" a loss on the low end...I did notice a gain from doing this tho. I can feel it more obviously from 1/2 to 3/4 throttle on open runs.

Do you think that I should maybe leave the 18 discs in when I install the header and rejet? See what happens??

eraptoid, keep the 18 discs and see what your plug looks like and how your bike feels after you add the head pipe. (may not be a difference) Then try out the dynojets. One mod at a time!

also, your e-series paperwork tells you that 18 discs = 2.03" exhaust outlet I think.

keep us posted.
