GYT-R slip-on for raptor
#1
I know this topic has been dicussed a lot but im confused with all the replies. Im looking at the gyt-r slip-on. I want it to be more responsive to throttle. will the slip-on give this to me after jetting and changing airfilter or will i need to get the headpipe also to achieve this? Please reply with any feedback. I would hate to waste money on something that will not give me what i want.I also have seen that fmf made a megamax II system for the raptor. I had this on my 300 ex and it gave me good gain. Has anyone tried this system or heard from anyone on how it is? If you know another slip-on that works well with stock header please let me know.

I put on the White Bros. "e" series slip on with K&N filter and rejetted. It really woke my machine up. I would recommend the "e" series to anyone. I'm sure there may be better pipes on the market, but for the price... you can't go wrong

The GYT-R slip on is one of the best slip-ons in the market it is designed for the Raptor. I have the Carbon fiber one and the difference is like night and day. If you do the Pro-Flo and stage 2 kit you will not be dissaponted. The carbon fiber slip-on is the lightest and the best looking slip-on out there. And mine never fell apart. If I had the almost $700.00 cash I would get the titanium race youshimura pipe but a slip on will definatly wake up your Raptor. check it out on my web site.

you might want to go to www.atvtesting.com and check it out, they have a e-series ,GYTR , and a pro circuit pipes on 3 different machines. I have the E-series pipe and like it however, I am not saying that its the best! there's a bunch of other things on there that are interesting might be worth the 3 bucks to join it for the month.

Hey, call and talk to the guys at the motor building shops If they don't have their own pipe to sell they will be able to recomend one. It just so happens that Trinity has His own and thats where I got mine.I really think your paying a lot for GYTR

I also have the E-series canister (18 discs) with the K&N (airbox mods)and like it very much. It did wake my Raptoid up quite a bit. But that was 15 months ago. I'm wanting a little more now!
So I have JUST NOW purchased a White Bros. Headpipe and a DynoJet kit!! I'm planning on giving my Raptor another "WAKE UP CALL". It has, up to this point, been jetted with just Mikuni jets and stock needles. I am also going to port match my carb boots to the head while re-jetting. All this should bring a "little" more life to my Raptoid.

Hey eRAPTOID, I have the e-series and was told the min disc was 4 and the max 12. They said if you used more than 12 you would be losing power. Just an idea, might help with the next wake up call. Couldn't hurt to check it out

Rob- i have run with all of them. Most are good. I have the gyrt on mine. If and when i make a change, it will be to go with trinity. Main reason is for looks, as i feel that not a big improvement will be made over my current set-up. The one thing that i do not like about the gyrt is the rubber/clamp mounting system. I like the way the t-4 mounts better.
Velocityraptor swears by his Mr. Bills pipe
I would stay away from the disc type mufflers
