I am still on my quest to get a 02 Raptor.I would like to know if anyone here has went from an automatic tranny to the manual shift Raptor. If so how hard of a transition is it?It is obvious that it is a lot of difference.I don't have a lot of experience with a manual clutch but I have ridden some dirt bikes.I am thinking it is just going to take some getting use to. I don't ride a lot of technical trails.I ride about 2 times a year a Brown Mtn N.C. That does have some rocks, but most of the time just woods.I would greatly appreciate your opinions.

Thanks, J. Prentice

i personally like manual clutches. you will get use to it.i have ridden both manual with clutch and utility with know clutch. the manual will not have as much play in the gear shifter.the only thing you may have problems with the manual is trail riding but like i said you will get use to it.you will like them when you are.

Don't let the manual clutch intimidate you into thinking that it's alot of work for trail use because once you getr used to it, you don't even notice it. Give yourself one weekend.

I went from a Grizz 600 (auto) to a 250ex ( auto clutch) then to my ds. It was a little hard at first but now there is nothing to it.
