Water in the headlights. Little silicone fixed that. And that's it. Bought mine December of 2000.

01 ride MX. 2nd year no problem.

Ward: check the mounts your a-arms bolt to. or the upper mounts your shocks bolt to.

 

All of the things ya'll listed are straight as far as I can tell. The front shocks are new so thats not it. The sub-frame is where I think it is but I can't find it anywhere. I have measured and looked for chipped paint and bends but can't see it. Any other ideas? Thanks for trying.

 

01 2nd gear dogs gave out after 13months. Yamaha paid for the parts to update to an 02 tranny and I paid for the labor. No other problems to speak of. My family has purchased 4 more Raptors since then two 01's & two 02's with zero problems on any!

 

My tranny went. My brother and I bent our axles in a few weeks. I ride to hard not to trust something. Kind of like a cheating girlfriend. Can't keep what you can't trust!!! You're outta here Mr Raptor.

 

Save your money and buy a 2002 you wont regret it and all the problems plus more wont be as bad. I actually put a 2002 trany in my 01 because I figure as always pay now or pay later.I have to go to a funeral right now or I would list a few other problems to look for.Maybe when I get home I will post again.
