I know this question has been asked, but i am tring to find one for me. Someone made me concerned with the prodesign direct shifter adn making gearshifts too far apart. Is this true? Any comments please.
Thanks Rudy

rudyraptor, I have a ProDesign billet shifter on my raptor and I like it very much. It has a better feel then stock. I'd recomend it.

Like mine so far...have'nt hit any jumps with it on yet. much smoother than the stock linkage...big noticable diffrence. i've broken the same linkage setup on the warrior. if i could find the same setup for a warrior...i'd do it in a second. the linkage is a weak design.

Dave Baker at Quad Concepts also has them for sale on Ebay with pictures. I had emailed him about another part on his bike and he went out of his way to be very helpful.

Is the throw or length different with the linkageless shifter? I would be curious to see how the new shifter works with riding boots...

AlaskaYFM, The shifter works just fine with boots. (I always ride with boots). As for the length, it is about 1/4" longer then the stock shifter.

I just put a new Pro Design shifter on my Raptor yesterday. I rode for a few hours and loved it. I have a size 12 boot and had no problems. I highly recommend it. It should last a long time, there's no rubber padding or anything to wear out. I like it.
