There is a 300 ft. drag in Brookhaven (only about 30 miles from you). If you pm me I will give you some more info on it. They race every Sat. night there.

About 15 years ago we used to camp out at the Homochitto campground in Bude, Ms. you could ride the river, several creeks, and they had a huge sand hill left by gravel operations; does anyone know if this place is still there and can you ride anywhere around there?

I called the guy who owns the campout and spoke to her secratary;she said that that charge yearly for a camping space there and you can only ride on there property. She did also say that one of the neighbors, east of the old steel bridge going into campgrounds, is supposed to be opening a new campground there, but didn't know when; need to check into that.

The Homochitto camps are limited very much, 3 of my close family friends have camps there and I occasionally ride there. BUT there are no 2-strokes allowed and there are no loud pipes allowed , my friend has a 400EX with a DG Pipe and they made him put his stock one back on. the big a$$ sandhill is still there and there is good mount of sand bar to ride but there are only 2 water crossings, you cant go past the boundaries they have set. up the river more towards HWY 550 there are some good spots but its all private land. One place of interest is up around the Hazlehurst area ( between Wesson and Crystal Springs on I-55 ) there is a small river that you can ride that connects to the Pierre creek, this place is awesome, you have to have a deer camp to ride there but i hear their rates are reasonable, the water is shallow and clear and the sand is as pure as can be.
