I noticed that the older Kodiaks around the 1997-1999 are fairly cheap. Around 3000 on cycletrader. I want something that can go really good in the mud and snow and climb some hills to. Im tired of being on the little blaster and have to just sit back and watch as everyone else goes and has a blast in the mud and snow. Although i can outclimb them anyday. Anyways, how do the Kodiaks hold up and are there any problems with them? I think they would be the perfect setup for me. I dont need something thats gonna go through 10 feet of mud and never spin its tires. Although i would love the Grizz. How do you guys think the Kodiak would compare for me?

Pretty much the same as a 2001 Big Bear with different looks to be honest. Same motor. 99 models have disc front brakes, 98 and older have drums all around. Its a capable quad no doubt. Also, I think the 98 and older (may be 99) have less suspension travel.

I love the looks of this model Kodiak though for some reason. The headlights looked pretty cool.
