Is there a way to mount a K&N air filter right on the carb with out the air box? If so where can I buy one?

Thanx

Just measure the outlet of the carb, and call a parts retailer and get one to fit that. Without the box,I would put an Outerwears on it,and you will have to jet up several sizes to make up for the extra air flow. If you only ride sand or dry trails, it should be alright, but for general riding, the filter will get plastered with everything your wheels kick up,and I would recommend running the box with a vented lid or a ProFlow adapter for the filter and no lid,at least you will get better protection than just a filter hanging there.

Hmmm....how well will the filter stay on the back of the carb lip ? Seems like there is not much lip to grab on too and without something supporting the weight of the filter (the airbox normally does this)it might vibrate or wobble right off - keep an eye on it.....

Just a thought....
