Hello everyone, I was at my local Yamaha dealer this week and I met a pro rider. I asked him questions about my Raptors trans and he said you should clutch in just before you land a jump. He said when you land the force of the rear tires puts a tremendous amount of strain on the trans. He has broken three trannys before using the clutch but now he hasn`t had any problems. What do you guys think?

Makes sense. But if you're like me, I can't conjure up the cajones to release my grip enough to grab and pull in the clutch.

That little bit of jumping you try to do shouldn't hurt your bike too much. You need to uprade the tranny and then you will be ok. Make sure you don't break I am coming after you....
