WTF? Bear Tracker stuck in reverse!

I was riding my dads bear tracker the other day and wheni was backing out of the garage, i put it is reverse(imagine that) anyways, when i went to drive it forward the reverse levr would not go forward. whats going on. he tried it and has no idea what it is. anyone else have this problem? anyway i can fix it?

Get a big hammer and hit the thing forward. Its probably just stuck.

Rock it back and forth while pushing reverse lever. I hated reverse on mine when I had one.

yup,
a real PIA to get it out of rev..this has worked for me before..it is about a 1/2 click up from 1st gear to get it in..if there is any load on it, it makes it harder to come out..I have had to get off, roll it to take the load off, then it would come out, if that did'nt work, I'd have to turn it off, take the load off of it, & it would come out..
just my impressions..I borrowed one of these, & quickly learned that even though there is a reverse, ride like you don't have one.
