I have a stock 02 raptor.My friend has the 01 raptor.He has never lost to a banshee.I haven't come across one to race yet.Is the 02 raptor as fast or faster than the banshee?I am sure it depends on the rider,but if they are both pro's wich one wins?Stock vs Stock.

 

I'd say Raptor is faster stock for stock, easy.

Raptors are supposed to outrun the Z, and (at least MY Z) outruns the Banshee in a drag.

Since when is the raptor faster than the shee?

They are VERY close.

 

Ok,its a good bit faster,but piped for piped they are VERY close.

 

ive seen both piped racing and they were dead even until the banshee hit the powerband in 6th gear and it pulled about half a bike length ahead of the raptor

I don't put much trust in ANYTHING you say, maybe it would be different if you had ever OWNED a quad.

That's funny, the top end is where I usually beat piped Banshee's. I've raced at least a couple of dozen. I've been beaten a couple of times by some of them up Olds hill. But I havn't lost to one yet on the flats. We're talking piped only Banshee's. Let the flames begin![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

naa man i don't argue you beleive what you want but i have to go with what i seen with my own eyes maybe the banshee had more than just a pipe he may of had different reeds to but it whas my buddies old banshee that he sold when he got the raptor the raptor i know was stock air filter,150/145 mains and fmf powercour system which is not that good so maybe with a different setup its possible.but it wasn't that day just stating the facts.

Binfordw, I guess it's possible that an amazingly fast z400 could beat an amazingly slow Banshee but honestly, I wouldn't go proclaiming the Z400 to be faster than a Basnhee. Anybody with half a brain knows that isn't the case.

As far as what is faster; Raptor or Banshee. Both and Neither. There will never be a straight answer on this. Heck, even the magazines can't make up their mind; one issue has a Banshee faster and another has the Raptor faster.

I've personally seen enought Banshees and Raptors run to have a solid opinion but I woun't bother with that on here.
