anyone have a gas brand that works great with the raptor? 76/91 is my pic. does race gas or octane boost help in a stock motor with pipe, airbox, etc. mods? planning a sand only ride with high revs...

On stock raptors all I ever run in regular unleaded, 87 octane. It will not go any faster with supper unleaded. Even piped, jetted, pro-flow with open air box and cam I still run regular unleaded because that is all it needs unless you go inside the engine and goto high compression and other work. I know some people think that supper unleaded works for them too on basic stock raptors but I have not seen ant improvement.

Super unleaded in the warm months, usually 93/94 octane, especially at the dunes. Regular unleaded in the cold months because it ignites easier and you can't really hammer it too much on the snow.

Thank you all for this info. I will start with 87 see if there is any difference by going up to 92 in the hot times. going to the hot sand dunes in couple weeks Pismo so I will see then.
