New 2003 Yamaha Kodiak - News for speculation

My friend is real close with a local Yamaha dealership here in MN.
He says that they told him that the new Kodiak would be a 500cc, locking diff. with IRS.
MSRP around $5700.
Personally, I doubt I believe it.
I can't imagine Yamaha would confide in it's resellers about their new products when everything is so hush hush these days.
Your thoughts?
