snorkel help please
#1
I am currently experiencing some carb problems with my 2000 grizzly. I have had a problem with it flooding and actually filling the airbox with gas. I think that I have it narrowed down to a float sticking or float height adjustment problem. Since I have my overflow drain snorkeled up higher than my gas tank, it takes the path of least resistance and fills my airbox. One problem that I can't figure out is my air intake "blowing" air. At idle it is sucking air, but right off of idle during acceleration my intake actually blows air for a second, then starts to suck air again. I have tuned my bike several different ways and no matter what I do this occurs.................any ideas? Could this be normal? I'm at a loss.

why do you have your overflow higher than your gas tank??? the gas has no where to go no except back into your airbox. Just leave the over flow where it was and put a plug in it, the hose is clear so you can see when it fills with gas, when it does just unplug it and drain it. I have a 2000 grizz and it fully snorkled, works great. you can use it as a submarine if wanted! let me know if you need any help, because the topic you put was about snorkling.

yeah i guess the topic is kind of misleading. my snorkel design works well and has for some time. what i really want to know about is the air blowing OUT of my intake right off of idle. have you ever seen anything similar?
