I have a Raptor with 11:1 pistion, web cam,no lid and a pro design air filter. The bike runs fine but I was working on it at night and noticed that the head pipe is getting red hot near the head when it idled. I would think I would need poilt jets. Does anyone have similar mods that has had the same problem? If so I would like to know a starting point with the piolt jets. I just above sea level here in Maine.
My carbs are jetted 180 185 and screws are turned out to give the best idle. I also run a mix of 100 octaine and 93.
Again, the bike runs PERFECT other than the headpipe thing!
also I run a white bros. e-series pipe with 12 dics.

You can do a search and probably get alot of info on it. Mine did the same thing. I switched to 27.5 pilots and played mith the screws and now it doesn't glow near as bad as it did. This also stopped my carbs from popping out of the boots.
