You seriously believe the difference in torque between two pipes on a stock motor will cause a transmission failure???? Oh my head!!!!

I didn't say that the LRD pipe caused the tranny failure. You didn't quite read it right.
Go read the issue of Dirtwheel of March 2002 and page 140.

I rode my bike out in the desert races over 1,000 miles last year and had no problem till this yr. It decided to go out on 2nd gear. This happen after I put on LRD pipe and rode it while I was on vacation out on Oregon dune. Had the LRD pipe for a month.

Yes LRD had more torque load then WB E-series. because I used to own WB E-series. I know the different.

Not a problem Blueleader....

Sometime peoples tend to overreact after they read the first time and not seening the whole picture....

I don't know why eRAPTOID is blaming the pipe that caused the gear to let go. I am just stating what I have read, and what happen to my bike....

Everybody have their opinion of the tranny issue. I am not trying to start a fight over this petty issue.

That all

desracers,
I will mainly use the Raptor for trails, and jumps "if I can find some". Nothing PRO. Just week-end riding!!!

I like the concept of how easily the '01 Raptor seems to Wheelie. I have seen some clips, and the dude was changing gears while keeping the front end up! Awesome to me.

You were the one blaming the pipe - not me. And you basically blamed any aftermarket pipe, not just the all mighty torque filled LRD pipe. Then again, I must not have been seening the whole picture!

NEEDARAPTOR, I'm sorry your thread is being somewhat deminished by this side bar issue.

Bought my 01 in June of 2001,

Not 1 problem.

The current mods listed, mainly the very torquey Alba pipe (provides tons of low end torque, IMO) have been installed for about 6 months of that 1 year. If you can get a good deal on a 2002 model go for it. Otherwise buy the 2001 and enjoy. JMO
