There is a very easy fix for blaster rear brakes. The real problem stems from the brake piston corroding and sticking in the caliper. This causes the brakes to drag and therefore wear out prematurely, plus some have mistaken this brake drag as a loss of power. Now the FIX. From the hardwear store, procure some Teflon pipe sealant tape. Now clean the caliper housing an then wrap the teflon tape around the METAL BASE of the piston on the environmentally exposed side of the O-ring. Place the piston in the calliper. Now, pack the inside mechanical workings of the caliper with FULLY SYNTHETIC chassis grease. This is the most waterproof, highest temp, bestist, slickest grease there is. Also this is what I use to grease all my front end bushings as they didn't so much wear out, as corrode and get sloppy.
