Raptor reverse?

Mine only grinded once then i figured out how to do it. You can hear the gear engage if you don't hear it stab it again.
I thought about taking it in under warrenty for an adjustment but since I figured it out I didn't bother. Besides, I don't want any one working on my quad but me.

Good post! I figured it out too but I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that doesn't fully engage reverse sometimes.
I always slip the clutch a little and shift down while listing for the gear to engage and I'm good.
I wonder if a new Hinson Clutch basket and clutch plates will make a difference?

<< Have you guys tried adjusting the cable freeplay from the **** to the lever on the side of the engine case? Maybe there's too much slack in it and it's not fully releasing the mechanism. Just a thought. >>
I think its just an interlock that wont let you go down past 1st, if your getting past it then it doesnt need adjusted or it wont help. I think the problem is pretty common, and have seen it on all the quads I owned. it can get better or worse depending on how your clutch is adjusted and mine has done it, slip the clutch a little when your putting it in.
