Cannondale wins drags, times at tracks, handles big Jumps and whoops better.

Z400 wins beauty contest (hmm looks familiar can't quite put my finger on it)has reverse and gets praised for copying Honda Chasis.

400EX...Consistantly gets put down due to the lake of reponse from Honda at the corporate level.

This article is bathroom material.

overall winner...Z400...embarassing.

they literally strain to find good things to mention about the Z. example: they mention how the Z bottoms out on jumps. but follow up with how it doesn't bottom out "hard". what the f is that. if it bottoms out. it bottoms out.

Joke

Cannondale clearly won. I know it and they do to. f the magazines.

The performance numbers(times) were not that much better for the cannondale. Given the price difference, the cannondale sure the hell should have won. But I would much rather spend under 6 grand for a machine. The aftermarket is already booming for the Suzuki. Suzuki built one awesome machine. Who cares what the magazines said. If it bothers you that bad, then write them a letter to complain. If you say "f the magazines" then don't read them anymore.

Cannondales probably will never win a magizine shootout because they are "race machines" and not good all around machines as a more mild mannered plusher machines is//...

WIscambler: Great advice...did that come to you after you hit your head tripping over the empty beer cans. The letter has been sent.

Awesome machine? your alittle mixed up their buddy.
Awesome describes Cannondale. all aluminum, fuel injection, lightweight. and fastest in it's class.
as far as i can tell. suzuki copied the Honda Chasis and the Yamaha Plastic. Somewhere suzuki had the only creative bone left in their body removed. I'll stop there. I like the Z. But it was a shootout that was awarded to the loser. Don't get into price tags and aftermarkets. it was fair, the judging was not.

Crack another can and reply...your funny

ok, I've cracked open the next 6 pack..here goes my reply. If everybody rode on the track, the Cannondale would be the logical choice. I have never been on a track, just trail riding. Maybe money grows on trees for you, but it sure doesn't for me. The pricetag is a MAJOR factor in which machine I get. I would rather save $1400 and get a machine that has some history to it. Suzuki has built awesome sport quads in the past. They have a proven motor from their DRZ cycles. If you want to complain about something, why not whine about a 440 cc machine beating your 660 Raptor?

Your like the annoying drunk Uncle that doesn't make sense and every screams at to go home. Cry me a river about your money problems...if you can't afford new then buy used, just don't sacrifice my performance for your wallet.

Cannondales should cost more. their all aluminum and are just breaking into this market. They deserve the win...regardless wether you can afford it or not. They chose the quads to match the Z against.

as far as raptors and cannondales thats another topic...one witch i'm not about to have with a man that rides his 650 with hand warmers.

Go Home Uncle WIscambler...your embarassing!

Being a Z owner I think that magazine shootout was biased and its wasn't fair to Cannondale. The Cannondale has its place and so does the Z. I think the Z400 is more of a starter sport quad and when you out grow that then you move onto the bigger machines. So when I'm done with my Z I'll buy something bigger or buy a ton of aftermarket parts for my Z. Get along and go have fun with your quads.

Finaly a sober mind. right on bbertram. No need to defend the Z. it's a great quad. The article is the issue at hand.

The article was bogus and should have been strictly about the Cannondale or should have been comparing it to a lagear or other race type state of the art chassis with a 450F or 426 powerplant. That would have been a better comparison for a race quad. Not stock trail/sport quads. The Z is however going to make a great little sport quad and with a few mods is going to hold it's own in the mx and cross country world.
