Wolverine Engine Specs
#1
Hey all, I have a 2000 Wolv and have been looking everywhere for RPM specs, but haven't found them. I know peak torque is at 6000 rpm, but what is peak horsepower at and what is REDLINE for a Wolverine. According to my GPS, the Wolverine is winding pretty good at about 40 mph. However, this machine has got awsome power for tight trails. No engine mods yet, but was curious about the rpm's. Also, what kind of cruising speed difference is there by going from the stock 23 inch tires to 25 inch Blackwaters?

There is no real "redline" for the Wolverine. There is no electronic rev limiter. RPM's are kept in check by the design of the cylinder head. The restriction properties of the head wont let it rev past a certain RPM. As for the HP, got to the product review section of this site, and click the 11/19/98 review of the Wolverine FMF pipe. It gives a good account of HP and RPM with the use of a dyno and graphs.
