Well I finally got water in the Belt on the Kodiak to slip, in fact it would'nt even move for a half-hour. So my question is how do you make it waterproof & make a small snorkle for it, also where is the drain plug for it.

Thanx

There is no drain plug. What you do is stand it up so it's resting on the rear wheels and the rear rack. All the water in the clutching will drain out of the clutch exhaust.

I think the weak link is where the two piece clutch exhaust fit together under the quad. I took mine apart, and put a generous bead of Marine Goo around the first piece, put them together, and tightened the clamp that holds the two together.

You can also take off the clutch cover, and put a bead of grease around the plastic gasket. That will help.

There is a drain plug. It is a 12mm bolt on the underbelly. You need a small ratchet extension to reach it. It is the only 12mm bolt and there is a hole in the skid plate to access it.

I would suggest to take off belt cover & use a shop-vac to clean out. I have made this part of my post wet ride procedure. This is on a Prairie, but I am sure it works the same way. I chose not to use goo as it might make its way to the belt. Let us know what you come up with.

There is a drain plug on these.I have a 2000 and 4 friends I ride with have 01's and theirs have drain plugs. It is on the bottom on the block,,,,,,,,not the side cover. It is kinda confusing.I sometimes got water in mine but it was where the front snorkel connected to the front of the belt housing.I ended up getting a lower radiator hose (part # 302 from autozone) and cut a part of it off to use along with GOOD hoseclamps.I do know standing it on end will work if you have enough buddies
