Say where the result of the dyno that you had from last weekend? As you mention from other fourms

These nubers were low but consistent so...........

1. DS760- 52hp,38.7 torque
2. DS650- hi-comp piston,stage 2 cams alky- 45.3hp, 39T
3. 660Raptor-full ct exhaust, airbox open 38.8hp 37.7 T
4. DS650- Jetted? Stock exhaust 44.8hp, 37.5 T
5 686- Gyrt slip-on 42.7hp 39.5T
6. Banshee- Toomey T-5 stage 4 carb 33.5hp 23.4 T
7. Raptor- T-4 36.3hp 34.8 T
8. Stock raptor 33.8 hp 31.5 T
9. Raptor- jetted Fmf pipe 31.4 hp 35.9 T
10.Drag Banshee- 59.5 hp 35.2 T
11.Raptor CT full exhaust jetted airbox open 36.9hp 33.1 T
12 Raptor gutted factory pipe 37.5hp 36.6 T
13

I have the charts and names, but the dyno guy did not list the modds on all of them[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] I can post more but some i do not know if it is a raptor or DS for sure. These are just a general idea. I think i have 30 dyno charts.

Boy sure those numbers are low. Was the dyno running right or due to the dyno operator running it? Just asking.

The Stock Raptor seems to be about right but I agree the modified quads seem low.

I got better HP numbers than that with my Sparks X6 & Dynojets & I used an automotive Dynojet.

I'm guessing the guy doesn't know how to run the dyno correctly yet, either that or the FMF pipe sucks on a Raptor (2.4 HP less than stock!)!! You'd think with all the pulls this guy made he'd at least used it for practice & tried to do every thing the same way on every pull.

Make him practice his setup 14mins & maybe next year a DS with high compression piston, stage 2 cam on alky will make more than 1/2 HP more than a Jetted? DS with a stock pipe!! See if he can take a quad off & on the dyno 2 or more times on the same day & get the same numbers. Then have him put the same quad on another day with diffrent weather conditions & see if you can get the same numbers.

Unfortunatly despite all of 14mins hard work I don't think these dyno numbers are of much use[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img].

Sorry guys. We did get the fuel/air ratios. That was all i was really looking for. It would have been nice to get a monster hp number to frame by the canceled check for the modifications. lol

Well I'll tell you from expereince that the FMF sucks. I have one and dislike it alot. No I have never made any dyno runs but I hear of 45+ with a pipe and jets and I don't think that I am near that. When I first put it on it actualy took away from the top end. I could race a stock banshee on the road, when the Raptor was stock, and would win all the way. When I put the pipe, filter (Pro Design), and jets in I would pull hard at first then after a LONG stretch he would start to gain ground back. So if you are looking for bottom end its good, I guess, but on the top end no way.

Those # do sound a little fishy. Here it saying, if my math is right, that the 686 is only making about 21% more than stock. From other people on here it has been said about 45% more than stock. My math is kind of rusty, you know what you don't use you lose.

14mins & THEMOOSE: These numbers sound right online with the dyno that I ran my raptor on. The piped/jetted/intaked raptors were only pulling 3-5hp more than stock. My 686 was around 10hp more than any other raptor tested (the closest was a high comp piston'd/cam'd/pipe'd/intake'd @ 39hp) on the same dyno with the same dyno operator Dyno Results, but that doesn't explain why I am still over 10hp off the claimed hp of the performance shops 686's? As for torque, I was also on track with just over 42 ft-lbs Dyno Torque Results. Just my $.02.

Once i get mine dialed in above 50 hp, i will be happy. Going to make a piston/cam change. 16hp over stock is a heck of a improvement across the board. I have come to the conclusion there are not a lot of 50hp plus machines running around. Cause i have run hundreds of modded machines with great success.
