im kinda in indecision on what quad to buy, anyways i noticed tha almost all f the time places cover MX racing, you dont see any modified raptors racing. so what classes can you race them???

also are there any classes that limit how much you can modify a quad to race it??? like an almost stock class???

 

I think the raptor is more of a Harescramble, dessert, TT and drag racing machine.

 

I agree with velocityraptor what he mention.
since I used the Raptor for desert racing and it more forgiven to use it.
For the MX, it would be a handful to ride due to the weigh of the Raptor. That my opinion.

 

I and a friend both race the Raptor in the Nationals, both MX and TT.
Dave is leading in points in MX and I'm Third in TT.

 

i race in New England in the NEATV-MX series and there are a ton of modified raptors at all the races...Have to race them in the open classes. I am 6th in the points in the open b class...i totally set my raptor up for mx and it handle superb and is really fast. there are quads out there that are lighter and may handle better, but with my setup and motor, the only thing holding my raptor back is me....if you have the strength to handle a 400 pound powerhouse of a quad...get the raptor...you wont be disappointed........next year i will compete in some national races...maybe I can lineup against Turbo33 and Dave.........

Are you gonna be racing on Sunday? What number are you? Color? I race in the C class with my raptor. I would have to agree with you that it is more than adequate to race MX with. You hit the nail on the head, the only thing that really holds you back is the rider. Good luck if you're going to be there, hopefully we get two motos this time.
