I currently own a mojave and am selling it to buy a warrior(I think). anyway i am 14 years old and about 5'11" i weigh about 145lbs. i wanted to know your opinion on this quad for me, or any other quad that you think would be good for me besides a Blaster! I love my mojave but it just doesnt have the power i want. Thanks for the help!

If you consider yourself a better rider than your friend then get a 300EX. You could find a used one for less than a Warrior. BTW they are cheaper then Warriors new also. 4 wheel atv action said that the 300EX was better than the Warrior, Blaster, and a Mojave in their shootout.

The Warrior sounds like a logical choice. At top end it can beat a 300EX and if you ride and practice enough you can beat one through the woods. The only thing that is questionable is your weight. The Warrior is a heavy quad and if you arent big enough to handle it, it will handle you. The only other quad I would consider if I were you would be the 300EX. I love my Warrior and wouldn't even trade it for a 400EX, but the 300EX is also a nice ride, especially through tight trails. If you and your friend both had 300EX's your races would be fair and would be decided by who is the better rider. I urge you to buy used since neither machine has seen significant changes since their inception. When you go to look at a used Warrior check the airbox, chain adjustment, and the swingarm for cracks.

Just my opinions...

Good choice with the Warrior. You should be able to handle one because I am 5'9 115 pounds and I can handle mine easily. I have heard a lot of people say that the 88 Warrior is the fastest year they made them as for me I dont know if that is a fact or not but I do know one fact. I have outrun 98,99,and 2000 Warriors with a slipping clutch and mine is stock.
