my raptor is running really hot...i dont have a heat shield and i just flushed my coolant system and put new in. i think also the head pipe turns red like a stove top and i dont know what to do...please help. thanks

Has your temp light come on yet? Alot of people have the red head pipes when they switch to aftermarket because they are so thin. Mine did it and I fixed it with 27.5 pilots. Another thing to check would be the mixture screws on the bottom of your carb. Do a search on the subject you should get alot of good info.

I would go with what ward said, it sounds like your running extremely lean. I would hate to see a fellow raptor rider melt down his machine!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

what should i do with the mixture screw?

I think the stock setting on mine was 2 1/2 turns out from seated. If you have an aftermarket pipe, check to see what their recomendations are. Turning them in is leaner while turning them out is richer. I have a full Yosh pipe with a K&N stage II kit with 146/148 main jets, air screw turned out three from seated.

Try turning your mixture screw 3 to 3 1/2 turns out thats should help out.
