My 01' raptor is cutting out from half throttle to full-throttle. I have thoroughly cleaned out the carbs, did a plug check - plug came out paper sack brown. It sounds almost like the rev limiter is screwing up??? I am running a K&N air filter and dyno jet kit 144/146 at about 1000'elevation, slight air box mods, white bros e-series tip. Need help before I spend $45/hr for the dealer to diagnose it. All help is greatly appreciated.

Check your parking Brake if it is stick it will cause your raptor to cut out we you hit the gas.Same think happen to my buddy he thought it was his crabs to. Sounds weir but check out hope i help you.

 

yeap, I had the same problem. the dam# parking brake wasn't on but it choked it up cuz the line was frozen up. I didn't know what it was at first but I found to fix it I would get on pavement and open up the throttle and it cleared up the problem, I thought it was the carb sticking.
