I looking at a 1992 Banshee,it has new tires on it. However, has been rode but it runs great. On a scale form 1-10 with 10 being new, I would give it a 4. What is it worth?

I know that I can go to www.kbb.com or www.nada.com. However, they don't ride ATV's and know the inn’s and out of a Banshee. I was asking because I thought someone who had the same bike could give me a good idea.
Thanks for the help

I just sold a 1990 Banshee with FMF Gold Series pipes, ram valves, 36 mm carbs, cool heads with domes, 4 bearing axle carrier and etc for $2250. I just bought a 1994 Banshee with pipes, Trinity single carb manifold, 34mm carb, boyesen reeds, works shocks and extra swing arm, extra 2 into 1 Moto-Fast pipe and etc., for $2375. Mechanically very sound but needs some plastic and some cosmetics. This should give you some idea. It really makes a difference what part of the country you are in. Prices vary greatly. A nice Banshee in this year range WITHOUT all the extra's is surely worth all of what I just talked about. I just saw a stock 94 Banshee in nice shape for sale for $3300, so it depends. You need to remember that if you put a lot of money into an atv on hi-po parts, you are doing that for YOUR interest and will generally not recieve that amount of money back out of it. So if you pay $50,000 or $10 for one, if you are happy with the deal, you need not justify it to anyone...Dean

I know that "kbb" is not the best place for looking into resale values, but most people (not all) that are buying a machine...especially for the first time will take the info on these pages pretty seriously... I just sold my 94 zx7r for alot less than I knew it was worth...but finding a buyer was hard. I was trying to get the price of the muzzy pipe and all the rest of the engine work.
The first thing out of the kids mouth was...But Kelly Blue Book say this..or that..
You know what I'm saying.... People will not pay for things like pipes and other mods..... Sometimes you can get away with an inflated price tag based on mods....other times you can't.
I would just price the machine a few hundred more than what you would like to get...and leave room for haggling
