'00 Kodiak skid plate
#1
I was at my dealer on friday and we were talking about the Kodiak I asked them what problems they were having the most with the new bike,to my surprise he told me that the boot going to the rear differential was showing up ripped on alot of the new Kodiak's,he checked mine it was ok,but when he showed me how close it was to the bottom of the bike I said no wonder so many are getting ripped.Yamaha just came out with A new skid plate to protect the boot it is inexpensive and well worth the money, and takes about 15 min. to put on.Just take A look on your bike and see for yourself,I'm sure you will agree.

The part # is ATV5GH40BG00 the price was $25 CDN. the dealer sold it at his cost because he wants them on all the Kodiaks he sells or has sold. IT mounts on the frame just after the plastic skid plate you hook on both sides of the frame with what resembles U-bolts,tighten and their is A plate that goes over the boot, very quick and easy to install, and good protection.I know the explanation is vague but it's the best I could do.
