Which is the better winch for my machine. I have used a 2500lb warn on a Big Bear 350 and it worked great. The Superwinch (which I have no experience with) seems to be as expensive as the Warn. Is there any real difference between them? I know all the manufactures market the Warn so it must be better, right?

Thanks

If I were you I'd check out the dimentions of the two. I have a warn on my 2000 Kodiak and the right tire rubs it when I turn left. BUT.. I should mention they are oversized tires. 26 9X12 bearclaws on the front.

The superwinch is lighter than the warn. If you go with the t1500 superwinch you get a 25 ft cable instead of warns 50 ft cable. The superwinch doesn't have a built in fairlead the warn does. Superwinch is usually half the price of warn. Either brand has a good reputation.

I dont have a winch, but from a past post I saw on this forum, that the superwinch switch seems to short out sometimes. I personally dont know about warn. Hope this helps. Sean Sicher

I would go with the Warn also but the first thing you should do is throw the solenoid that comes with it as far as you can and use an inline circuit breaker this will save you alot of aggravation, when you go to use your winch.

Another good idea is to run the solenoid through the ignition AND a seperate toggle switch so it doesn't activate with the key everytime you turn your machine on. The dealers haven't quite figured that out yet.. Silly fools..

I purchased a Superwinch ATV2000 from Northern Tool foR $189. If you buy it before April 1st, you can pay for it in four installments with no interest. I bought the mount from Cabelas. The mount includes a roller fairlead.

Kerplunk I have had many ATV's over the past year's and my dealer's have hooked it the way you described, the only problem with that hook-up is when you turn your toggle switch on, the solenoid after awhile just don't pull in all the way so you still have to give the solenoid A hit for it to pull in the rest of the way,not the best set-up in A stuck situation. That's why I hook an inline circuit breaker on my bike's,I find it more practical and way more reliable.Just my opinion!

Well i hear that Warn is very good but has plasic gearing so over the years it won't last as long.
The Superwinch has steel gears.
