When I bought my Raptor they wanted me to bring mine back after X (not very many, I can't remember but 10 hrs. sounds close) to adjust the valves and give it a check over. The main thing was the valves, but I just performed the service myself.
The dealer should have told you what the service involved.

Greg, how long did it take you to adjust your valves? I bought the service book for the raptor and its not the specific book for my quad it has two model numbers on it and my raptor is not one of them i didnt relize this untill I riped off the plastic wrap. will the specs still be the same for the valve clearence and that

My dealer told me once I got 10 hours to bring it back in for a check-up. He didn't say what for but I was just wondering if nebody else's dealer had them bring theirs back for the same thing. Mine is currently sitting in my garage and not running. Has nebody else had problem's with there Blaster's (or ne other quad) eatin plugs? You might have an hour or so in it RxRaptor. At least the 1st. time you do it. If you go to my photos page, I have a pretty decent little folder walking you through it. It's not too bad. The intake valves can be a but tricky to get to. You will need a short 10mm wrench, the your feeler gages, metric allen wrenches and a mentric socket set.
1) Remove the seat
2) Remove the front plastic
3) remove the gas tank
4) move the rubber protector that is located in front of the gas tank up and out of the way. I use a little clamp and clip it to one of the cables on the handle bar.
5) Remove the two round covers on the left side of the engine.
6) REMOVE YOUR SPARK PLUG
7) Remove the two round caps below and on either side of the spark plug hole, these will give you access to the intake valves.
8) Remove the access cap for the intake valves (top of the engine).
9) insert a deep well socket into the left side of the engine and turn the engine counter-clockwise until you find TDC (top dead center) as described in your service manual. It will be the single "|" that will come up real quick after you see the "I" (ignition) mark. Stop right there and remove the scocket.
10) Insert the appropriate feeler gage into the Intake valves & adjust if needed.
11) Insert the appropriate feeler gage into the Exhaust valves & adjust if needed.
12) Put it all back together again.
