Well, man that whole thread makes my decision a whole lot harder.
I was going with the AXIS but.............I'm gonna have to really check into the Elka's. I do like the looks of the ELKA's better. 14min's before that would happen I would quit riding all together. I would rather sail through the air and land upside down on a tippy Raptor than ride a different Brand. No flamin here fellow Suzuki and Dale riders thats just my preference. I'm gonna call Elka tommorrow and see wassup. Keep posting your thought on the shocks so I can make up my mind. Thanks Guys I'll keep ya posted.

Jumping my Rap w the TCS shocks is awesome... landings are quiet and soft, no diving into turns and w the added travel of about 3 inches the wheels stay in contact w the ground all the way through the turns. They quad sits lower yet increased in wheel travel from 8+ inches to 11+ inches

Well, I would tell you to try TCS instead of either Elka or Axis.
I have a buddie that will hook you up for 850.00 fronts 650.00 rear.
He also has a set that has been used for only one race that he will sell for 700.00 fronts.
They are triple rate 0 preload rebound adjustable with resies.
He does not have the rear, you would have to send that in yourself.
Everything includes shipping.

I have the axis and i love them....they are expensive, but well worth the price in my opinion... the crossover rings do rattle from the vibration of the motor and they do squeak once and a while...but not to buy the axis shocks because of this is crazy....do yourself a favor check out all the manufacturers and there prices....decide on what is best for you...also in your research, check out what shocks the national atv racers are using....the majority are using Axis and PEP...you will see more ELka's and TCS shocks on atv's that are riding on trails and for pleasure and many racers in the ameteur ranks as well...I went with the axis shocks because they came as a package with my a-arms....remember opinion are like a**holes, everyone has one and some stink....hehe
good luck with your purchase...
herbdon out.........

TCS are made by Elka...or the shock bodies are...something like that. anyways...i got the triple rates with self sagging which will lower the raptor. The rattling that people are talking about is common among aftermarket shocks...it's the spacer rings rattling when the load is off the shocks...Elka has eliminated this by using nylon rings.

what is self sagging you ask...well lets say your riding MX. werp! werp! you hit a jump. your suspension unloads as you land your elkas suck it all up...as you get back on it down a straight away your quad slowly sags down 2 inches for stability....werp! werp! you hit the whoops...your elka's unleash there travel...after things calm down it resumes it's stable stance sagging back down.

i must admit...it was though shelling out the money...but the diffrence is amazing...and their customer service is the one of the best in this industry...i have never questioned whether it was worth it or felt like i made the wrong decision.

Good luck

I would advise you to go through Marty at the Quad shop in Kentucky if you are going to buy Elka. Marty has a quick turn around time on the rear macdaddy kit as well. Marty knows Elka.

I have the Works pro-series piggybacks, they work great for me, but I don't MX. Excellent for the trails & the dunes!
