Do you guys prefer the pro design foam filter or the K&N? And what do you have to back up your choice?

Personally I like the K&N with an Outerwears. I run in very powdery sand at Sahara & have ridden in some silty dust & have never seen any thing get past my filter when I clean it (I clean it every 20 hours).

K&N, free flowing. Use the outerwear and nothings getting by (with or without the outerwear IMO). Easier to clean, and not messy at all.

In the air box I don't have a clue. I have to say that if you don't need the box get some clamp-ons. I had to increase jets by 2 sizes when I switched to this setup. I have only cleaned them twice but I haven't noticed any drit past them.

I hate my foam filter also. A real hassel to clean. But i am a good little soldier and clean it all the time, cause this puppy sucks the air. I have to wear a oxygen bottle when i race so i can breathe cause the motor needs all the surrounding air.

I have only used the K&N. The foam filter that came stock sucked...Other than that, I have absolutely nothing to back it up. Just picked the K&N setup.

Seems like everyone is for the K&N. I myself have the Pro Design foam. I just feel it adds a little more protection to my machine via the smaller holes. But it is messy!
